Microphone not working after the update

I have Asus G551JK and after the W10 update my headset mic won't work or any other microphone connencted won't work. I tried updating the drivers and almost everything google had to offer but still nothing. My headset is ASUS Cerberus. Please, somebody know what to do?

So your Headset works for Audio, but Mic doesnt work.

When you go into audio properties is the mic there or does it show its missing or greyed out?

I looked at asus website and didnt see any drivers for it, but if your headset came with a CD driver for it, you can try pushing that driver to the system and use Windows 7,8, or 8.1 driver on 10.

I had a similar problem years ago when going from XP to 7. Lost my mic jack on my motherboard. Tried drivers for realtek and it would install and say all is well, but no mic. The mic only worked under XP yet audio out worked fine. I got frustrated and just bought a USB 5.1 Audio adapter and used that, however your headset I believe is just a USB plug and not audio and mic independent phono jacks.

My pc only shows the built-in mic and some Stereo Mix thing(showing disabled and disconnected).
I didn't find any drivers either. It didn't come with a CD driver and yes the headset has only one jack.

You need to check Device Manger for any Yellow !!'s....that means missing drivers.
You should get them from the MBoard manuf. site and install them....Re-boot after.

The headset unit shipped with software...you may wanna find the CD and re-install it.

the headset didnt come with any kind of cd, it was just the headset, Im sure about that
