    too long turning on

    Every time my laptop goes in to sleep mode it takes a very long time to wake up even when the os is pretty fresh one. Doesn't matter what os im using cos i was using win 8 and now win 10.Also sometimes the actual turning on is just too long. Once the laptop starts works perfectly.is the problem maybe connected with the DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE massage i got once or the warning i got while i was installing the OS (The partitions on the disk selected for installation are not in the recommended order) something about GPT disks.

    Greetings Dargio,

    What are the full specs of this laptop? Ie, CPU(processor), RAm(Memory), hard disk, video card (GPU) etc. Also when you state clean install windows 8, is that clean install by you, meaning you installed windows 8 from a retail disk, then installed the drivers, or did you do the clean install from the manufacturers recovery partition or DVD/USB? All these things can play a part. So before i give you more information, i will need more information.

      its a intel core i5 processor with 6 gigs of ram intel HD graphics 3000 HDD 750 GB and it runs 64 bit Win 10 OS.

        1st thing i would do is check Device Manager for any Yellow !!'s...this indicates missing or corrupt drivers...

        Alright, those arnt bad specs. However, i find with Acers, HP and Toshiba's when you buy computers they come with a ton of crap thats not needed. I would test the hard drive, either using any tools acer has provided or simply check disk to rule that out. A dying disk could be the issue. If that passes do Memtest86 on the RAM make sure its all good. Although i doubt thats the issue. You are in windows 10 though. I would do a truly clean installation of windows 10 not through the manufacturer. And make sure you have the latest drivers from Acer that are made for windows 10 not 8/8.1 so they are not running in compatibility mode.

          oh well Samsung still installs crapware when its sold. The drivers could be outdated and ive had so many issues with customers bringing in computers that run like crap after a clean recovery install. The reason im suggesting a hard drive check is because usally if the hard drive is a mechanical waking from sleep the computer waits for the hard drive to spin up. And if its beginning to croak the drive will take longer. If the drive is fine a clean install from a retial windows 10 dvd with fresh new drivers and all the updates will make the system jump. Im running a Core 2 Du0 4300 thats a 1.8Ghz dual core with 4gb ram. Essentially a 7-8 year old IBM and windows 10 flyes on it. No SSD. But it was a clean install.

              Please download AutoRuns and save it to your desktop.
              Right click on the downloaded file and choose Extract All Files.
              Once extracted, open the program named Autoruns.
              Click on Options and then Hide Microsoft and Windows Entries.
              Press F5 to refresh the startup list.
              Next go to File -> Save and choose the file type to Text File (.txt).
              Please attach the text file to your next reply.

              Before I go through everything I see that utorrent loads at boot. I'm guessing you download torrents. First thing I'd like you to do is run full system scans with BOTH your anti virus app AND with MalwareBytes. Please post back when finished.

              By the way, your first post says you got an error when installing the OS. What was that error? And how long does it take the system to boot?
