Change zoom level
« on: October 11, 2015, 11:58:10 AM »
My new laptop does not have zoom level at the task bar, I need one as the page level is about 175 or 200.

Is there one somewhere in the laptop.

CTRL + should increase it or CTRL - will decrease it. I assume you're talking about while you're browsing.

harry 48,
are you referring to the magnifier options in Windows 7?
Int is found in the Ease of Access area.
Make your computer easier to use

The Ease of Access Center is a central location where you can modify the accessibility settings and programs available in Windows. You can adjust settings that make it easier to see your computer, use the mouse and keyboard, and use other input devices. You can also answer a few questions about your daily computer use that will help Windows recommend accessibility settings and programs for you.
I have it set to 125% and I can pan it when I get to the edge of the desktop.

Turn on Magnifier.
This option sets Magnifier to run when you log on to your computer. Magnifier enlarges the part of the screen where the mouse is pointing and can be especially useful for viewing objects that are difficult to see. For more information about using Magnifier, see Make items on the screen appear bigger (Magnifier).

Your question is not very clear. Anyway, if you are referring to the display icon or text in your laptop. You can go to control panel and select display setting. However, if you are referring to ms office. Left click view menu.

I thought my question was very clear, as the two experts above understood it.

I'm referring to the bottom right hand corner of every search page I open, that's where the zoom level appears.

Your question was NOT clear and don't be rude to people trying to help you. How could any of us know what is in YOUR taskbar. We don't know if you want to "zoom" a web page, use the Windows magnifier applet, or something in another entirely different in another app. It's clear in Dave & Geek's replies that they aren't certain what you're asking either - they are just taking a "best guess" - as is bailey!

I'm not being rude to anyone and I believe I never have been in all the years I have been here

This is what I'm talking about.

That's in the status bar of your browser, not your taskbar. You can add it by using the customize feature in Firefox (which is what I believe you are using).

In IE go to TOOLS - TOOLBARS - and enable the status bar

In tools, zoom is there so I can reset it anytime.

But there is no-where to enable the status bar
