    Maxtor Sharded Drive II Networking
    « on: December 17, 2015, 11:29:24 AM »
I have one of these drives connected too a switch which, branches off into the machine I have the software installed on and a Server.  It keeps saying that the drive is not connected though, it's powered on and connected.

How are you setting the IP address on the drive?  Is there a DHCP server on the network?

Can you ping the network drive?  What if you enter the drive's IP address into a browser, is there any sort of web interface?

I was able too through some stored settings some where.  The Server issues DHCP but, it's not all ways connected too it.

I have the IP Address of the drive now but, when I connect it too other machines and run the software it doesn't see the drive at all.
