I've never heard tails of this yet! 
I have Win/xp sp2. with all updates. Running Nortons Anti-virus w/Go-back installed w/updates, (now... not accessable!)
The prob. is that the desktop will load up with out the taskbar, start menue, desktop icons and I'm not able to right click for a menu or use shotcut keys.
However . . . I can pull up the task manager to use command prompt.
I've used the cmd chkdsk with /p, /r & /f to no avail.
It's a puzzler to me ? ? ?
