deleting problem

I am trying to view photos from a flash drive, but clicking on the photo I wish to view, all I get is chess titans,  I have tried to delete it with no success, what can I do to fix this, I cannot even find it in the games, or all programmes and deleting the short cut icon is no help, anyone out there able to help? thanks. I am using windows 7 and google chrome.

Shortcuts might not always have the right picture. You want to  see what is called a  'thumbnail' not just a shortcut.

Recently I learned that thumbnails are turned off by default.

Thanks very much, Though I did manage to fix myself by going ctrl panel, program features, and unticked it in games, It checked out ok, so reticked it, Fine now so no wiser as to what caused the problem.
