In my collection of things I have a number of Wireless dongles that have Realtek chips. As usual, the USB things are in one place and the CDs are elsewhere.
Short story. Install the driver finder package that you really don't ant, see if it can find the dongle. Write down the actual part number of the chip inside the thing. Most of the time it will not install the driver unless you pay money. But the driver is free. And they did find the thing for you free. Now it is up to you to find how to actually get the driver itself and install it.
It is possible. At least it was today.
