    desktop shortcuts moving
    « on: October 02, 2017, 09:17:06 AM »
I have about 30 shortcuts set up on my desktop in 4 quadrants by category. On occasion they all move without any action on my part. They always go to the left top to bottom and pretty much alphabetical. Very annoying to move them back. I have no clue why this happens. Any ideas?

You can use a small, free app such as iconoid (http://www.sillysot.com/) which has an option to save icon positions and restore them at boot. I've been using it for more years than I care to remember and it works with every version of Windows through W10. I'm sure a Google search will reveal other such options.
