Hi everyone, don't mean to revive an old topic but thought you deserved an update as you were nice enough to help me. I replaced the LSP ultra psu with a new corsair rmx 850 w and the problem appears to have been fixed, i was plagued by this issue for a long time, somehow my old psu (which had a very loud fan) would prevent my pc from booting if windows didnt shut down proper, it was a hassle to fix. In any case i hope this helps someone in the future, i didnt know a faulty psu can cause this.

    Mark.
