This hardware has two devices that do not have the right drivers.
But memory tests are OK.
CPU tests or OK
HDD tests are OK.
I can only guess that it must drive windows update crazy trying to find drivers for the devices and it stalls the update recess. That is a wild guess. Windows 10 just lets it be. I have no proof that the devices are the source of the problem.

Amway, as far as I can tell Windows 7 is stable without the updates. Unless Widows 7 can give me some specific details, I see no resewn to let it continue to install updates that will hang the system. I have lost count over how many times this has happened.
I am on Windows 7 now. I am also watching a movie on Amazon. No sign of any kind of troubles. I now have automatic updates turned off. And I just made an image using Maximum Reflect.  If there was any HDD issue, Maxim Reflect would choke and report a failure. (Which has happened in other scenario. In the case I fixed the HDD issue.)
Thank you for you help. The update things says I have 63 more updates to do.  Maybe in a few weeks I might try it avian just to see what happens.  :-\

I use the mini tool partition wizard and it did a can on my Windows 7 partition and found no errors.

But.. I just now did a test I have never done before.
INTEL CPU Diagnostic Test.
It says my CPU fails the Brand Sharing Test.

What is that  ??? Why would it bother Windows 7?

Updaye:
I erased the partition.
I got an ISO of Windows 7 32 home from someplace.
Made a DVD, booted it and installed Windows 7 all over again.

But this time it came up as SP1.  This ISO is different than  the DVD I got from Microsoft years ago. Maybe it will not mos-behave like the original DVD  did.
Hope this is the solution.  :)
