No, not news bout Microsoft.
It is news gathered and presented by a Microsoft App you can find on
 -  The Windows App store. (Windows.)
 -  And in the Google play store. (Android.)
  - And in the Apple store. (All Apples.)

It is reported to have been reviewed by over 34,010  people and has an average rating of  4.3 on a scale of 1 to 5. It does sound impressive. 
Here is a 5 star:

It's a really great app for catching up on all the latest news around the world. It also aggregates news across various geographical boundaries and varied topics. If you are voracious reader then this is a must have app.

Here is the worst, one star:

The app no longer goes past the splash screen that shows the word "news" in multiple languages. I've tried rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling. I really like the aggregated content and wish I could see it again.

It's pre-installed with Windows 10. Like most of the preinstalled crapware included with Windows 10, it's loaded down with advertisements and many of the articles are clickbait or sponsored.

there's about 15 pre-installed MS Apps in Windows 10 that I remove for new installs - that's one of them.
