SFC/Scannow says corrupt files cannot be fixed
    « on: December 23, 2018, 08:13:41 PM »
I have a Windows 7 Toshiba Laptop computer that I'd been having some display driver problems with.  I ran the SFC/SCANNOW command and was informed that there are files that are corrupt but these corrupted files could not be fixed.  I have no idea what the CBS.log information means exactly, or what to do next to clean up my computer.

Can someone help?  I was going to attached the log but it is super long and your system would not allow me to do it.  Perhaps there is another way?

    Thank you,  Suzan

      SuzanG,
Now we can see the log  file. It is huge. They were a large number of failures to install a package.  I do not have the knowledge of what that means.

Maybe somebody else can read it and tell yu what went wrong.

Sperry I can not tell yu what to do next. :(

Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:56{28}]"\??\C:\Windows\System32\oobe"\[l:24{12}]"W32UIRes.dll"; source file in store is also corrupted

This error is repeated frequently for various other files.

When the system file store is corrupted the only good way to repair the system is to reinstall Windows or perform a repair install using a Windows DVD.
