Windows Format and Hard Drive Spanning
« on: January 06, 2006, 06:28:36 AM »
I have 3 HDDs, one is my main C: with windows and all that and the other two are spanned and have all my movies, music and whatever. I am making some changes to my hardware and afterwards I would like to make a clean install of windows, reformat and install, but I just want to make sure that I won't lose the spanned drive. when windows comes back up on the C:, will it just automatically pick up my spanned drive and have everything back to normal or is there something special i have to do? Thanks.

If you are using Win XP (or 2000) and the two "spanned" drives are formatted as NTFS partitions, you should have no problem.

If you need help to determine if the above is the case or need alternatives for other operating systems, let us know.
