    unidentified network Internet access
    « on: February 03, 2019, 11:07:58 PM »
My Internet connection seemed slow this morning, so I checked out the Internet Icon on the task bar.

A pop up or a tool tip or whatever you call them popped up saying:

                    "Unidentified network
                      Internet Access

                     TG1666G75
                     Internet Access"

The icon has also changed from the usual concentric quarter circles to a boxy looking thing that may be trying to represent a monitor.

I've seen this message before.  I don't always see it.  It seems to come and go on different days.  I recall seeing a version on this message that said the unidentified network was "connected with limited connectivity."

I live in a house with 3 other unrelated people.  I'm pretty sure I'm the only one with an actual computer.  The others use cell phones (4 of them, I think) and I think the television's sound bar is connected to the net, and at times my printer and another's printer.

Can someone tell me what this unidentified network means?  Is it something that would slow down my connection?

    Thanks.

This is a common problem. Here is a video:

    Have you already tried that?
