This is not from a reliable source.
The Russian outlet RT claims a photographer got some photos of methane gas bubbles in a very cold lake in Alberta  Canada. As the bubbles rose they look like giant jelly fish.
But to me it looks like large pancakes floating in blueberry syrup.
