Laptop Mic Level Keeps Going To Zero
    « on: May 04, 2018, 08:54:44 AM »
    Daughter has a Gateway laptop - NV57H15u.

Suddenly, after several years with no problems, the internal mike has developed a quirk. The level control slider goes (left) to zero. If you go into CONTROL PANEL, then SOUND, then RECORDING, then click on MIC, then PROPERTIES, then LEVELS, you get the slider that sets the mike level. No matter where you set it, when you leave the window then return, the level has gone to zero. This makes Skype, and other mike applications unusable. Any suggestions to stop this problem???  ???

Sorry - operating system is Windows 7.
