    memory upgrade
    « on: July 07, 2019, 03:21:03 AM »
I have a pc with windows 10 64bit and wanted to increase memory.
The matherboard is an Asus P7P55D LE and says it accepts:
    4 xDIMM, Máximo de 16 GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)*/1600/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
What I have installed there is:
    DIMM #  1 e 2
        SMBus address        0x50
        Memory type        DDR3
        Module format        UDIMM
        Module Manufacturer(ID)    G.Skill (7F7F7F7FCD000000000000)
        Size            2048 MBytes
        Max bandwidth        PC3-10700 (667 MHz)
        Part number        F3-12800CL9-2GBRL

What am I advised to do so as to get at least 8 gigabytes of memory?

    thanks

    Hi Karsan,

You can add 2 only F3-12800CL9-4GBRL which are the 4gb units of the ones installed and are still available new. This would give a total memory of 12 GB.
When installing memory make sure you keep yourself grounded or use an anti static strap which is connected to ground. Important that the power is turned off and the green motherboard power led is NOT lite. From your manual.

What he said. You can find deals on 2 x 4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws on the net.
