Default Downloading
« on: January 19, 2006, 07:20:08 AM »
I am using a P4 2.6 Celeron D with Windows XP and IE6.  I was d/ling a rar file and I managed somehow to click always open.  Now when I d/l instead of prompting me to open or save it auto opens in winrar.  I know that save target as works the same, but I would really like to have my default setting back to where it asks me if I want to open or save.  I went to an old page I saved in my favorites and the rar file prompted me, but when I opened a new page in my browser and went to the file it auto opened. Can anyone help me on this?  I just want to be lazy again, lol. ;D

    1. Start
    2. Settings
    3. Control Panel
    4. Internet Options
    5. Privacy
    6. Restore 1 Default button

    1. Start
    2. Settings

    5. General tab
    6. Remove cookies, temporary files and history
