      The greatest first-person shooter, Goldeneye. That game is a basis for what we know as our Halo 2's and Doom's.

        Umm diablo actually wasn't what defined the genre.. D&D rules did, like those people who play in their basement back then and stuff..
        As for starcraft, yeah I guess its made a good impression...
        Come to think of it, I HUGELY got my moneys worth out of SC and D2.. I've played a max probably like 2000+ hours on EACH.. (in a span of 6 years)

        Hey golden eye, have you ever played Perfect Dark for N64? That game is AWESOME!

          Not really.. thats only about 200 days worth over a time span of 6 years, which is then about 33 days a year, not very much compared to all the people playing WOW and those types of games.  And it didn't ruin my academics or life so I'm all good..

          This game ( halo2 ) is one of the most tacticle and futuristic first person shooter have ever made

            half life. the original half life was the first real game i got into and am still playing it on the odd occasion. i couldnt get enuf of it and there was the mods like counterstrike for ultimate multiplayer action. i feel it was the first real step up for first person shooters.
