    Combination hardware/windows 10 problem?
    « on: April 25, 2020, 11:25:19 AM »
I placed this in the hardware section and thought I'd place it here as well: My two computers, both HP with windows 10 will not play through a specific pair of external speakers. The newest one (2 years old) won't even recognize two different sets. The older computer I'm on now with a 2 year old hard drive will recognize them but they still won't make any sound. Both of these are jack speakers and the PC I'm on now has a 3 piece speaker system that when hooked up work fine. It's pure bumfuzzling. I've tried updating drivers to my audio codec but keep getting an error saying it failed. I've also tried uninstalling the Hi-definition audio controller and restarting the PC to no avail.
