blasek311........ there should be a place where you can choose the default settings ........ go to it and use the enter key ( I think) then save and exit .

We need to know 2 things, your video card & your Operating System.
We know your OS is ME.
To find out what video adaptor you have download Everest & it will tell us.

Do you have 2 physical video adaptor cards installed?
You should be able to tell by looking at the back of the computer & see if there is 2 separate sockets for video.

I would remove all the video entries from your Device Manager.
Turn off the computer & remove the card you don't use.
Turn on the computer & let windows redetect the device & install drivers for it.
Then try cranking up your resolution.
Then run Everest & tell us what video adaptor is in use.

              1) Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager... Remove all Video stuff.
              2) Physically remove any extra video card. This is strange because a very quick Google listed both cards as AGP so you probably only have one. :-?
              3) On reboot windows will do it for you.
              4) You already know how to get to the resolution screen.
              5) You already know about using Everest.

              The bottom line...
              Device Manager... remove video entries.
              Re-Boot.

Does the computer boot into windows?
If so then run Everest & tell us what video adaptor it reports.
