    Keyboard not working
    « on: August 28, 2020, 11:15:53 AM »
USB Mouse stopped working. Changed the battery in the mouse, and got it working again.

Only to find keyboard not working either!

Several weeks ago an update screwed the keyboard, causing it to stutter, delays in acting, etc. Found there were TWO UK keyboard drivers loaded, nothing I'd knowingly done, no recent updates.

Deleted one instance and back working well.

SO, is this a similar issue......... NO.

Eventually plugged in an external USB Keyboard which promptly added a driver and worked, but still no internal keyboard though.

Looked around and realised there was an Update for Net Framework sitting waiting (and not flagged as such!).

How has that got anything to do with keyboard? Don't know, but activated and ran it, and keyboard instantly now OK again.

How does an Update that has not been activated stop the keyboard??

    Because it's Windows.
