A drive weird..

It has never done this before, but just recently, when my windows xp pro boots up completely, i log onto my name desktop loads, my a-drive will kick on, like its reading and then quits.. does this in safe mode also, and i have shut down all progs, its never done this before...

Perhaps it is searching for a program to run that has not been correctly uninstalled.

I suggest you clean the registry and remove redundant files with a program such as Regseeker and Advanced System Optimizer.
