Is it safe to delete IE from a Win7Pro OS?
    « on: February 26, 2021, 04:25:58 AM »
Greetings!  Long time no see.  I have a desktop running Win7Pro, with both IE and Edge browsers.  When I open Edge, I see IE open up and run underneath/in background.  Both IE and Edge have been updated as recently as possible (with IE, it's kinda moot, eh?)  Can I safely delete/uninstall IE so that only Edge runs?  With two browsers running simultaneously, it bogs down.    I noticed on my Win10 laptop that only Edge is installed, no sign of IE.  If this has been answered elsewhere, please include link to that thread.  I only looked back seven pages in this section...
    Regards,

Have a look at this webpage, it shows how to do it - the change isn't permanent so you can go back if there are any problems.
