making text darker in windows 10

My text is too light and want to make it darker on Chrome browser. I've already did the clear text thing and also changed fonts but still no luck.

Maybe the brightness setting on display is set too bright and its washing out the text.

Have you tried to reduce the brightness of the display output to see if that will make it sharper/darker text?

The only thing I found I could change was the nightlight settings and that didn't help.

Try Personalisation settings in Control Panel...

I did find a brightness setting in personalization but it didn't do what I wanted. Thanks for the tip anyway Patio.
