NORTON INTERNET SECURITY

can anyone advise??- i am running norton internet security on win xp home -i only have 2 user ac's - myself and guest . nis most times will not auto log in when i connect to internet and will not allow me to turn on security-it says i do not have  the necessary rights!!??
any help appreciated

    davietich.....It almost sounds as if you have something configured wrong.......I would go off line ......uninstall Norton.......delete your guest account .......re-install Norton and be sure its configured properly and then re-create your user account.

    to dl65- i have reinstalled as suggested and everything seems to be running as it should.
    help was greatly appreciated
