Identifying a Laptop and finding manuals, etc.

I bought an Asus Laptop K55n DS81   at an auction.    I have no idea of what it is or what it can do.   I went to the ASUS site but was not able to find a manual.     I'm not expecting much for a very inexpensive but working laptop but would like to know what it can do.   I don't know for sure what OS is loaded.  I am guessing Win 8 or an upgrade to WIN 10.    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you for the information     I just can't resit buying inexpensive laptops at auctions,   Now I have an HP that doesn't seem to have any identification.   I need the mental challenge :-)

      Hi Janis

If you download and run or the HP may already have this program loaded it will tell you all about the model manufacturing date and there is a manual. Also it will update any drivers you may need. There is diagnostics to detect hardware problems.

Search for HP support assistant or if it is not installed you can download it from here  https://support.hp.com/nz-en/help/hp-support-assistant
