Netgear Router seems to have a hidden fault feature that isnt documented for LED to be amber. Only devices reporting issues are the kindle Fire 7's which occasionally report slow or loss of internet connection when streaming with them. All other wireless and wired devices are happy and no errors observed. The statis LED for internet is suppose to be solid green or not lit if there is a problem according to user manual. Google search came up empty with anything in relation to amber LED for internet connection.

Rebooted Modem and Router and the router boots up and goes all green then after about 15 seconds it reverts back to amber solid LED status.

Speed test shows correct 50mbps/10mbps bandwidth, and ping that was running for 24 hours with -T shows latency is normal at 30 to 100ms for wifi with just a single peak to 437ms in the 24 hour period and no lost packets.

Might be that the router is tired and getting ready to fail but just odd that only the Kindle Fire 7's seem to be all of a sudden sensitive to something weird with router.

Anyone have any suggestions of anything to try on this or just give up and replace the 3 year old router with new? Wasn't sure if there are any tools out there that can test beyond latency and packet loss to explain why the Amber LED vs Green?
