Installing The Sims
« on: April 17, 2006, 10:42:56 AM »
Hi there,  I'm having some troubles getting The Sims to install on my computer.  It comes up on auto play and then when I hit install the following error message comes up:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.  The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.  Choose "Close" to terminate the application.

I can select "Close" or "Ignore" and either way nothing happens.  Is there anything I can do to get it to work on this computer?

Thanks!

Ive just realised that most of the problems on this board are about the flamming sims!!!! We should submit all these posts to our friends at EA and see what their reactions are..

Hehe, I'm 16. Usually play First-person shooter and Role-playing games like Call of Duty or World of Warcraft... or wargames likeRome: Total War. Decided to have a little break from that a few nights ago and got hooked on the Sims which I bought when I was about 12  :'( I almost feel ashamed... it is an addictive game though :P

Oh relax, I've been playing since... I can't even remember. I think House Party came out right when I bought my first CD.
