i got a pc that had winxp wiped hard drive clean & now i cant install my legit win me - i keep getting general prtection errors on krnl-386 & fault @001:1025   dan

Did you delete all partitions and start over? That is the only hope you have. Do you have the drivers you need to make this usable? Is it a real Windows CD or a copy?
