ZIP and FTP files in a batch file?

Is this possible???   To zip up a couple files and then FTP them using a batch file?????  if so, how would I go about doing this???

    check with your zip program whether there are command line options. I use winrar and there are command line i can use. For FTP of file, you can see this thread http://www.computerhope.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1147184620/5#5
