What does this mean...I tried to adjust them, and I'm not able to do so.

Does this mean I need a new operating system?! Ack!

You're going to have to provide some details.  OS?  System hardware specs, especially the video part?  Make and model of monitor?

:o...eeek, I don't know! I think its Windows ME, and the monitor is a Cicero. That is all I know, which is why I'm here....gulp. Looks like I'm s.o.l

Okay - bear with us.  First we need to figure out what you mean by your question.  What do you mean by "pixels"?  And what did you do when you tried "to adjust them"?  Do you happen to have any computer literate friends?

scandoll, what version of windows do you have? Can you type a command to command prompt? I forgot the menus in windows 98/me... you have to open a command prompt window (which in windows xp is obtained like: start->run and here you 1) write your command, in our case "winver", if you don't need the command prompt or 2) write "cmd" (in 98 / Me it's "command" ) and here you write "winver" (in all the places, without the quotes).
      P.S. What means s.o.l. ?
      P.S. 2: Gee, /Me = / Me :D Cool
