    If you can't start in safe mode with this HD & your old HD works OK then either your current HD is faulty, which I doubt, or your windows files have been corrupted.
    There is software available to test your HD with and if it is OK then a clean install or a repair with an Emergency Repair Disk will fix it.

    mabey the boot sector of his hard drive is screwed... you have two hard drives right? put your old hard drive in the computer as a master, and put the one that wont boot as a slave... not that i agree with porn of any kind, but, to each is own...
