« on: June 20, 2006, 09:34:05 PM »
This is the situation:

i have another pc P2 here beside me (without monitor)
But it can only connect via dial-up (no lan card)

the one i use as of now is P4, xp sp2 (DSL)
Yahoo messenger (in German, for my boss updated and all programs

The problem is:
i try to install the Yahoo mesenger (in German) in Win 98 pc, but so far i understand to install (Yahoo) you must connect to internet coz its dial up, it needs less than 1hr to dl'd/install the Yahoo Mesenger but im getting problem
Because phoneline i used is for business and cant connect long time via dial-up

The Questions:
Can i get the Yahoo Mesengger (in German) in XP Pc and transfer them to Win98?
if so, which file i must get and burn?

thanks for reading

Sure, you can download to the computer on DSL and transfer it to the Win 98 computer by burning it to a CD.  Which file?  Well, obviously, the one you download.

I sure have to wonder why you don't install a LAN card in a PCI slot in that Win 98 pc so that it can share the DSL Internet access.  They cost very little.
