Yesterday, I run a spyware check and cleaned up my Windows XP Professional system. I was able to shut down as usual; but on rebooting this morning, the computer is not showing the customary XP desktop layout and features. Instead, everything is now in the folder and tree-view layout.
That is, My Documents is now the default view --and this view is within a folder. So, there's no Start Menu; Taskbar; Quick Launch; and no usual clutter of stuff on the desktop. I am doing everything from within the Windows Explorer [tree-view] mode. How do I get back to the Windows XP default mode with it's desktop, icons, folders, taskbar, and etc.?
