Computer Hope System Tray Program
« on: August 08, 2006, 11:10:17 PM »
Hello! I'd like to take the time to ask Computer Hope users what they think about a new downloadable program that can run in your system tray and give you quick access to all different Computer Hope website features and more. If enough are you are interested, this project will probably go underway and allow Computer Hope to help its users better than ever!

Some of the features that may be seen include:
  • Instant access to Computer Hope; no need to startup a browser, type in the website or fiddle with favorites or bookmarks.
  • Instant search of all Computer Hope web pages.
  • Built in access to the Computer Hope online chat room for real-time communications.
  • Managing of chat room nicknames, passwords and registration.
  • Instant computer-term (jargon) dictionary lookup.
  • Spyware, malware and virus free; it comes directly from Computer Hope so you know you can trust it!
  • All of this immediately accessible through a system tray icon near your clock, in a small, efficient, unobtrusive program.
  • Other features requested by Computer Hope users! Just tell us on the forum and see how many others would like to have it.
  • Easy download, install and uninstall; there are no nag screens and the program only opens when told to do so.
  • Runs on Microsoft Windows 98 and above (98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP)
Please reply with your thoughts; thank you!

May I ask who you are first?
(I'm sorry, its just not normal that someone comes around like this...)
It does sound interesting, but I am not sure I would want it in my task-bar, I would rather have it as a stand alone program... but that's my opinion...

CH is already one of my 7 home pages. I just click a button (my FireFox button) and instantly CH is there. No need for a downloaded program here!

Personally I'd much rather that Computer Hope works on fixing all the forum bugs before getting involved in this project.
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.

I wouldn't sign on to it anyway. It looks like a scam made by a computer who registered. Check his registration date: 6 days ago. His ONE post here is an ad. *censored*, Yahoo! even has ways of keeping robots out of their system.

Whatever. Another tally on our number of registered users, I guess. ;)

We still don't know who this is. It could be the admin... or it could be Zero coming back at us for taking his life out  :o

              Zero?
Zero was a bot that as far as I know, Nathan built.
I never got to talk to Zero. He was taken down, he used WAY to many resources. A huge, RAM busting program!

Want to chat with a bot for some random reason?
              Yahoo:
              [email protected]
              and
              MSN:
              [email protected]

Its always a good idea to start off with the words "Hello" and then wait for a response.
Be sure to tell the bot your name/nickname so you are not called something like "Fluffy"
And whatever you do, do not say that you are a bot!

              Chats are saved

              Chat Transcript Example:

              zylstra5 says:
