5.25 MINI DV DRIVE

it is hard to find out about these on the net and i am hoping that somebody already has knowlegde of a a mini dv drive for computers and how much they cost or even where i can get a second hand one
could you please point me in the right direction as there is only one site i have come across displaying 1 at £2500

What is "mini dv" and what are you trying to accomplish?

Before I posted, I searched newegg.com for mini dv drive.  The two results from that search are really not mini dv drives.  In the Google results, I see mention of "dv tapes".  Tapes?  What is this?  I'd still like to see an explanation from the original poster about this.
