    Chances are that your monitor will not be DVI. For one, it is only $45, one of the cheapest monitors I've seen around. And, most monitors have both a VGA and DVI port installed in the back. I doubt you should have a problem.

    The fact that it's a custom build does not matter.  The main point is that it has a GeForce2 MX400 video card, according to your original post.  Being an older card, it will surely have a VGA connector rather than a DVI.  Again, if you're not sure about the difference in these two connectors, visit the link I provided in a previous post and look at the photos of the two types of connectors.  It's very easy to tell the type simply by looking at it.
