Your best bet is a surge protector.

make sure that your electrical outlets are working properly (kind of hard to do, but oh well. )

Its always good to have a grounded outlet, especially for electronics.

Maksim, you silly boy, I resized your avatar for you and you were using it.  But, I also asked you, via PM, to move it somewhere other than my photobucket account and you never did that.  Then, your avatar somehow got mysteriously flipped upside down.   ;)

I think I found your avatar:

Now, if you want to use it, be a good boy and put it somewhere other than my photobucket account.  Strange things can happen there.   ;D

photobucket is a great site.  I simply asked him not to keep using my account for his avatar.  He could create his own photobucket account or use imageshack or some other web/image server.

Edit: Now, Maksim is using zylstra555's avatar. He's a leech.

Yes, all electrical appliances should be grounded always.

              correct but not always corrrect.
look for a symbol on PSU's it looks like a small box inside another box, these don't need a ground, that's why some appliances that have this symbol do not have an earth/gound cable.

              strange but true!

but ... if you intend on tinkering with the inards it's good to gound them anyway to prevent static discharge
