DVD player Problem

its a toshiba, when i try to play dvd nothing happens, cant read as in "nothing"

When i right click then properties, then Hardware tab, i can see is "the device is working properly"

How is it listed when you bring up the drive thru my computer? I had a brand new one that was listed as DVD Ram, would not read anything, so I sent it back for a replacement.
