In Call of Duty 2 team deathmatch you respawn next to someone in your team, and I've noticed people play together in a team much more than they do in Battlefield 2, which is sad considering BF2 is all supposed to be about teamplay. The respawning near your squad leader idea is good, but especially now they've stopped you from rotating leaders, squads are much less useful. You should be able to spawn next to any player in your squad. Less realistic? Who cares, it'll be more fun. (And besides respawning next to your leader isn't exactly realistic either.)

Call of Duty 2 has much smaller maps than Battlefield 2 so you're forced to stick together and you'll find yourself doing so even if you don't mean to.

Battlefield 2 has a bit too much freedom, but if you're with a good squad and you keep pushing forward you'll have a lot of fun and probably end up winning each round. Unless you play Wake Island, which is just lame.

the best thing a squad can do is have the squad leader hide somewhere near a flag and have a medic bodyguard. the squad members can spawn off the leader, and if the leader is found, the bodyguard medic can resusitate him (or respawn on him if the enemy sees the medic first).

another good thing that a squad leader can do, is to enter into a passenger heli and fly up to around 450-500 ft. then hover from flag to flag. as squad members spawn in the chopper, they just simply jump out and parachute. :)

If ur PC can render Battlefield 2, then try Battlefield 2142. Its just an elaborate mod so it has the same minimum specs.

                  I noticed the same

Unfortunately, it doesn't support 1280x1024? What's that all about? The highest I can choose is 1280x960...

It wont support any wide Screen Resolutions.
                    Is that one?

The Reason behind that is because it would give you a larger FOV , and an advantage.

I just got a wide Screen Monitor, and it took me a while to rind the Right Res...

But Bf 2142 , looks stretched, and my monitor doesn't have a feature to set it to 4:3, its kinda annoying.

I thought 1280x1024 was a standard resolution, I have a Samsung 930BF monitor and that is the native resolution.

1280x960 seems like a widescreen resolution to me?  :-?

It doesn't really look bad, but I find it to be a bit more stretched out than 1280x1024..

I found this list on a Warcraft Wiki(??) it seems to be a list of wide Screeen Res's and it apperars that the one you wont is not a Wide Screen res
1260 * 980 the the highest it will go on mine, only 45 Mins till the Full game , are you going to be on line?

Here are the common resolutions for 16:10 aspect ratio:

                      2560x1600
                      1920x1200
                      1680x1050
                      1440x900
                      1280x800
                      1024x640
                      800x500
