« on: September 15, 2004, 01:05:01 AM »
If i use edlin in a batch file it loses control because of the * prompt that appears after the edlin execution. Is there anyway to over come this???Is there any other command that can search and replace strings

you might be able to use the expanded dos options to do the job..  Look for info on the SET command in its expanded form.  It allows for string replacements and other features.
