Outlook express at boot up
« on: October 09, 2006, 03:21:23 AM »
When I boot up my Sony laptop, it boots into outlook express although I do not use OE, I ran msconfig but it is not in the start-up tab, it is not in the start-up folder from all programs, neither is it in the registry run, is there anywhere else I can look? it does not cause a problem I close it and continue to work but it is annoying, this problem only started about a month ago, help

It may be opened by another program.

Can we see your start-up list?

Is there something you can remember doing a month ago that might have caused this to start?

You might try a utility from PC Magazine called Startup Cop.  Costs $7.97 if you're not a subscriber to their Utilities Library.  I think there's a very good change you could resolve this with Startup Cop.
