IE Diverting to Advert Pages

Hi there,
I have a problem with IE.  :-?
The problem started with IE6.When I click on an IE search result,I am diverted to what appears to be an advertising page.If I click back and then click on the result again I get the page I want.
This is more annoying than anything else.
I have dowloaded(sucessfully) IE7,in the hope that by overwriting IE6 the problem would be solved,but it is still there.
I should add I have tried Ad Aware,Lavasoft,Spybot,etc and Norton Virus,but without any success.
So far the problem seems to be restricted to IE,If I use my ISP's own browser there is no problem.
Any help or suggestions would be most welcome.

    Scan in safe mode. Update the programs before using.
