ESystem laptop

I have recently bought a (new) ESystem laptop from PCWorld.  It's fine as a modest budget piece of kit but everytime I switch on I get a Russian boot screen splash for a couple of seconds before the Win XP boot routine display.  Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of the Russian splash?

My guess:

Your computer is using a Russian-made motherboard, or a motherboard with a BIOS with multi-language capability.   See if you can press the key indicated in the Russian text to enter the BIOS setup and change the language to English.

I would NEVER buy an unknown brand laptop, regardless of price.  ;)

That brand cannot be located with Google. Bad sign #2.

PC World sells something from EI Systems, but again it is an unknown company.

I would hope your operating system is authentic. Try using Microsoft update as soon as possible. Contact Microsoft pronto if ANY problems.
