Sims: Question
« on: January 08, 2007, 07:22:02 PM »
Alright I have the old Deluxe Edition of The Sims, from 2000.  So, I installed it and I hit play, and it goes through the beginning part to where the words flash through the bottom like "Inverting career ladder.." stuff like that.

After that, it exits out of itself and goes back to my desktop.

Can anyone help me?

If your running windows xp right click on the game icon and choose properties.
now choose compatibility mode, try windows 95 and windows 98 and see if either of those will work

Another thing to try is turning off hardware acceleration in your display properties

Some older games unfortunately just dont run on XP so it may or may not be possible to play it(ive never tried sims 200 myself).
