Internet Explorer
« on: October 06, 2004, 06:56:14 AM »
We have a small buisness server that handles our internet and other office functions. Anyone connected to the network can get the internet from thier work station. The connection to the internet is a cable modem so it is always on. I would like to know if I can make a computer continue to use the server but not look at the internet? This computer is not intended for personal use and the internet was getting abused. If anyone can help me i sure would appreciate it.

I'm certainly no networking guru, but I do this with my router. The router is the DHCP server and it allows blocking of any internal IP (or range of IP's) from accessing the internet. Internal traffic is not affected - just the internet.
