« on: January 24, 2007, 09:25:31 AM »
i recently upgraded all my drivers and bios. i am trying to install win xp sp2. when i put in the disk to run the upgrade and it finishes i go to reboot my system and it goes into a boot loop. i was wondering if i take my original windows disk and reinstall windows xp sp1 and start from there will it work better. in other words will the reinstall of sp1 overwrite all of the old files so i can try to install sp2. i am running an amd athlon 64 3200 processor 1.3 ghz  geforce fx 5200 256mb video sb live pci sound card 5.1 and other stuff
appreciate any help thanks in advance

Yep a clean install will overwrite the previous installation as long as you select it in the install process...

Then install all your drivers including those for the MBoard.

Remember to grab SP2 afterwards and all the current hotfixes...
