I have run PC Pitstop Optimize. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
I ran sfc /scannow (Start, Run) and it said “Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL Cache. Insert your Windows XP Professional CD2 now. However, I don’t think I have that. The only ones I can find are Recovery Disks I made when I first got the computer.
I tried going back to an earlier restore point, but that didn't correct my problem.
Any help appreciated!
