the computer isn't online as it's for my son to play games on....can I get them things downloaded on my computer and transfer them to his via cd/dvd?

The computer is setting up now ..says getting ready to run windows for the first time

Will watch the video sure no problem

ohhh what is the windows product key and where will I find it?

The product key is located on your Windows CD case and is required to install and activate Windows.

cazza you will need to go to the below website download

Everest copy it to a disk install it on your computer and
it will ID your hardware for you if windows don't do it on
install.

LOL funny ;D. I have heard about scientists doing tests on spiders using drugs, but never have I seen a video clip of them actually doing it. That was a good one though :D.

E:\WIN98> is your CDROM type   dir  again see if it finds the Install CD.

You are following the on screen instructions as windows installs
aren't you?  :-?

NOTE:Forget about the link to Everest for now none of those drivers
will be needed until you have windows completely installed. ;)

During setup it stops and says to start up with hard disk or cd rom

which one should I choose?

and the 3 options

start up with hard disk
start up with cd support
start up without cd support

which one?

I think this may be where you have everything copied to the hard disk and just keep choosing hard disk.
